AZS block, also known as fused zirconia corundum brick, is composed of Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2. Made from pure alumina powder and zircon sand (65% zirconia and 34% SiO2), the fused cast AZS block is created by melting the materials in an electric furnace, casting them into molds, and cooling them into white solids. With zirconia content ranging from 33% to 41%, the fused cast AZS blocks are categorized as AZS-33#, AZS-36#, and AZS-41#.
